LEATHER TRACKING LEASH

The Conor's Adventure leather tracking leash is designed for scent tracking with dogs (mantrailing, hunting, tracking training, etc.). It can also be used for walks and dog training (recall exercises). It is made from a round rope of natural leather (brown) with a diameter of 8 mm and a lightweight aluminum clip with a locking nut for attachment to a collar or harness.

The loop holding the clip is not stitched – instead, the leather is tightly braided, which prevents tearing. Maximum length is 10 m.

We can also make shorter versions upon request – in that case, please contact us.

The leather rope does not tangle or snag, even when the dog is dragging it behind. The manufacturer guarantees strength up to 100 kg. Leather is a natural material and requires regular maintenance.

The aluminum clip with a locking nut is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, which makes it durable, lightweight, and corrosion-resistant. The manufacturer guarantees it holds up to 400 kg of static load.

MAIN ADVANTAGES:

  • Durable, strong, reliable, and lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum clip.
  • Braided leather without stitching.
  • Comes with a practical strap for storing the leash.
  • Leash does not tangle or snag.
  • Handmade in Slovenia.
  • 1-year warranty!

SIZE – LEASH LENGTH

The maximum length of the leash is 10 m, with a rope thickness of 8 mm. Upon request, we can also make a shorter version – in that case, please contact us.

MAINTENANCE

The leash is made from natural leather, which means it requires regular care. Clean it with a damp cloth and dry it with a soft towel. Once it is completely dry, apply a leather care balm. You can read more about leather maintenance here.

If the leather dries out too much, it can crack and lose flexibility, which can lead to the leash tearing. If the leash has been left dry for a long time, apply leather balm several times before the next use.

Although leather is water-resistant, it should not be soaked in water.

What is aircraft-grade aluminum?

Aircraft-grade aluminum or Duralumin is an alloy made from aluminum, copper, magnesium, and manganese. The alloy is lightweight, strong, and corrosion-resistant. Duralumin is very hard, which is why it is commonly used in the aerospace industry.
