40mm MAGNETIC DOG COLLAR
The Conor's Adventure 40mm dog collar is suitable for larger dog breeds.
It is made from a 40mm wide polyester strap, featuring a lightweight aluminum D-ring for attaching a leash and a FIDLOCK® magnetic buckle. All Conor's Adventure collars are stitched with safety seams used in mountaineering and military equipment.
Polyester strap withstands high loads, is resistant to mechanical damage and UV light. When in contact with water, it becomes damp, but the material (polyester) does not absorb water, which means it dries quickly. The collar will not stretch under load, thanks to the 2mm strap thickness and polyester’s considerably lower elasticity compared to other materials.

The D-ring for attaching the leash is made of aviation aluminum, withstands high loads, is lightweight and corrosion-resistant. The manufacturer guarantees that the 40mm D-ring can withstand a static load of 225 kg; we have tested it up to 140 kg and it passed the test without damage.
The FIDLOCK® magnetic buckle for fastening the collar is made from high-quality plastic and stainless steel (INOX). It incorporates a magnet that facilitates easy fastening. With the help of a convenient loop, the collar can be easily unclipped. The buckle is designed so that it does not come undone under load and can be additionally secured with a safety catch to prevent accidental release.
The manufacturer guarantees that the magnetic buckle can withstand a static load of 70 kg; however, we tested it at 140 kg and it withstood the load without damage.

Certified Austrialpin Cobra® Pro style buckle
For an additional fee, you can replace the magnetic buckle with the practically indestructible Austrialpin Cobra® ProStyle buckle, which is certified for mountaineering and withstands forces up to 18KN (1800kg). It is made from aluminum and, given its durability, is relatively lightweight. It allows easy fastening and unfastening of the collar by pressing both side buttons.
If the collar or buckle is under load, or if you press only one side button, it will not come undone. Cobra buckles are available in black; occasionally, we also have other colors in stock—if so, please contact us.

Personalized 40mm Patch
When ordering the 40mm collar, you can personalize it with your dog's name. The patch can display the dog's name, a telephone number* or any other information. You can choose from various colors and patch backgrounds.
The patch consists of two parts: hook (rough) and loop (soft). Upon ordering, the hook is sewn onto the name area and the loop is sewn onto the collar. This patch can be used wherever a loop is pre-installed.
NOTE*
In cases where we make a patch for a very small dog with a correspondingly small neck circumference, the patch length is limited due to spatial constraints on the collar.

40mm Handle
The handle for the 40mm collar is designed for quickly grasping the dog in various situations. It is practical for long-haired breeds, where the collar is hidden under the fur. For larger breeds, it is also suitable for holding the dog while walking beside you. It is extremely popular among rescue dog handlers.
It is made from a polyester strap that is resistant to mechanical damage and UV light. The material is soft and non-abrasive. It is available for all 40mm collars in all colors. Color combinations are also possible (e.g. a black collar and a blue handle).
Handle dimensions*:
- Length 8 cm, width 2.4 cm (for sizes M, L, XL).
- Length 6 cm, width 2.4 cm (for size S).
COLLAR SIZE
We measure a dog's neck using a tailor's measuring tape. We generally advise measuring the neck circumference as closely as possible, as slight deviations have been observed with smaller sizes. All our collars are adjustable.

HANDLE: For smaller collars with a handle, the length adjustment is somewhat limited. The following collar sizes apply:

Upon ordering, we can adjust the size of any collar as well as the handle.

CARE
Wash the collar with lukewarm water, gently scrub it with a soft brush if needed, and dry it in the shade.
FAQ
FIDLOCK® Magnetic Buckle … but is it safe?
This is a completely logical question. Many people, when they see it in practice for the first time, think the same. You might ask, is my dog's safety dependent on the magnet? The function of the magnet is merely to “assist” in closing the collar. The magnet does NOT hold the collar.
To find out how much weight the buckle can actually withstand in practice, please read the blog post (How much weight can the carabiner on the leash and the buckle on the collar withstand?) and convince yourself that all concern is unnecessary. In the static endurance test, it withstood at least 140 kg (after which we ran out of weights).
What if the FIDLOCK® buckle on the strap loses its magnetism?
According to the data and assurances from the German company FIDLOCK®, this should not happen—unless you expose the buckle to high temperatures for an extended period (washing in a washing machine at more than 60°C). Even salt water, according to their data and testing, is not problematic. Nevertheless, it is absolutely recommended that in case of contact with salt water, the entire strap or buckle is rinsed with fresh water.
